The beautiful Chinoiserie range of wall stencils from Henny Donovan comprises two large stencil panels based on classic 18th century hand painted silks and wallpapers - depicting trees and exotic birds, bugs, blossom and flowers. Each panel is subtly different and designed to work individually or as a pair together.
Handpainted chinoiserie panels and wallpaper are only available today at very high end prices - use these stencils to create your own unique hand painted effects and pay just a fraction of that cost.
Chinoiserie Stencil 2 is ideal for walls, stencilled as a feature panel or as a full wall drop either stenciled in subtle tones as a wallpaper effect or in bolder hues as exquisite wall art.
Chinoiserie Stencil 2 is also very effective applied to panelled walls, above dado rails in tall rooms, on large screens and on large cupboard and flat doors.
This stencil is also ideal for fabrics, as shown here - used to create stunning hanging panels, which can be hung as features or as room dividers, or stencilled onto full drop curtains.
The chinoiserie design can be stencilled in simple single colour schemes - such as white or white and grey onto duck egg, chalky blue, navy or charcoal backgrounds; or it can be stenciled in either muted or rich colours that emphasise the different features of the design. Classic colourways for this type of design include pinks, reds, greens and yellows on duck egg blue or aqua backgrounds; or paler whites, creams, greens and golds on ivory or muddy cream backgrounds. Or try creating the sumptuous and always striking look of metallic stencil paints on a black background.
