Large and small simple Fleur-de-Lys/Fleur-de-Lis motifs - this theme pack has been designed for decorators wanting to use this traditional heraldic motif, which has retained its appeal within today's decorating market. 

There are 6 different sized motifs in this pack, all the same, but on differing scales, to suit most decorating needs.  See sizes in specifications below.

The Fleur-de-Lys motifs can be stencilled in a random pattern for a more modern interpretation (see top right); or stencilled either singly or in regularly spaced pattern repeats for more traditional and classic effects, which suit this motif well.

To stencil in geometric rows or grids use a wide spirit level, ruler and pencil to lightly mark up a grid on the surface being stencilled, with both horizontal and vertical guides and then simply stencil on the different axis points, alternating between sizes at regular intervals - see our examples right. (Further instructions for this technique come with this theme pack)

The Fleur-de-Lys motifs are also effective when applied using the 'shadow' stencil technique. This is done by first stencilling in a slightly darker, lighter or contrasting colour and then moving the stencil to the right slightly and over-stencilling in a contrasting shade or metallic shade - as shown in our example right.

Stencil using Stencil Sponges, Stencil Rollers, or Stencil Brushes in Stencil Paints, Metallic Stencil Paints and Interference Paints or Fabric Paints for fabric creations.

The Fleur-de-Lys motifs can also be stencilled inside other geometric shapes such as the Diamond Theme Pack, Circles Theme Pack and Squares Theme Pack Stencils.
