Designer botanical stencil
Exquisitely detailed 3 sheet stencil

The Giant Hogweed Stencil is ideal for decorators with a love of wild botanical motifs and oversize stencils. The Giant Hogweed, also known as Queen Anne’s Lace, has here been faithfully drawn from the wild Hogweeds found in thickets and country lanes around the Brecon Beacons – Henny Donovan brings another innovative botanical design to her stencil range. 3 sheet stencil. See size specifications below.

This design is perfect for modern botanical decorating – use to create stunning oversize random wall paintings and wallpaper effects or for contemporary botanical hand printed fabrics. Ideal for botanical murals and features on walls in hallways and living spaces.

Description

The Giant Hogweed Stencil lends itself to a host of colour schemes to suit different decorating styles. Use soft whites, yellows, purples, greens and greys to create subtle modern colour schemes. Or try stencilling the Hogweed in white or ivory onto soft grey, green or muted lilac shades. Try white onto charcoal or indigo for bold graphic lines or ultra bold and chic – black on white.

The design also looks amazing stencilled in metallic colours, which gives an effect that reflects changing light – try our Metallic Stencil Paints for this.

The stencil comes in two large sections – two large hogweed stems each with three flower heads – and one with a bee and one with a Mayfly!  There is also a smaller third section – an extra stem detail for lengthening the hogweed stalks as needed.  The two sheets can be used so that the flowers appear to be in a cluster or spaced further apart for an uncluttered effect.

Above and below – the two stencil sections stencilled in Ice White Stencil Paint on blue and sage green backgrounds.

Stencil Rollers make stencilling this stencil practical and easy, particularly if you are stencilling white onto deeper base colours – the roller will help to build opacity. Also use in conjunction with our Stencil Sponges for really professional results.
