Grapevine Stencils finally get a makeover! Part of our botanical stencil range from Henny Donovan - this graceful Large Grapvine Stencil is beautiful and elegant. Inspired by tumbling vines and full bunches of grapes this design is perfect used as a single motif or repeated as a border or in continuous patterns.  This versatile motif suits bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms, kitchens and is great on fabric, walls and furniture.

This page features the Large Grapevine Stencil, an oversized two sheet stencil comprising one main grapevine motif and 15 additional motifs of leaves, grapes and tendrels, to add to and extend the main motif. This very versatile stencil will allow you to grow and extend your own grapevine design to fit any space required. Great for bold individual features and for repeating over large areas. The Large Grapevine Stencil lends itself to bold warm colour treatments, as well as natural greens and purples and single colours such as purple, or contemporary black, or warm ochres.


Above - the main motif of the Grapevine Stencil, stencilled as a repeat motif - repeated first as a horizontal border and then with the second row of motifs being repeated directly underneath the first - known as a square repeat.  Stencilled here in Latte and Sesame Stencil Paint and blushed with Antique Gold Metallic Stencil Paint to create the lacquered effect on this black ackground. Finish off with Gloss Acrylic Varnish.

Easy to use one layer stencil on two sheets of 125 micron mylar. Sheet size 70cm (27 1/2") deep x 60cm (23 3/4") wide.

Sheet 1: Main grapevine motif - 60cm (23 3/4") long x 52cm (20 1/2") across at widest points.

Sheet 2:
3 additional leaf and grape motifs from 27cm (10 1/2") deep x 10cm (4") wide up to 44cm (17 1/4") long x 21cm (8 1/4") wide.
3 additional leaf motifs up to 20cm (8") long.
3 additional grape bunches up to 18cm (7") long.
6 additional tendrels from 4cm (1 1/2") to 10cm (4") long.

Above - the main motif of the Grapevine Stencil shown as a diagonal repeat motif. This is achieved by first repeating the stencil as a horizontal border and then stencilling the first stencil of the second row half way between the first two motifs of the first row and then repeating this distance for each successive repeat and each successive row. Stencilled here in a mixture of Damson and Seagull Stencil Paint on a dusky grey-lilac background to create a contemporary monochromatic effect.
