In hedgerows, country lanes, clustered along banks and in open woods, the Rosebay Willowherb can be seen in the summer months throughout the British Isles. A much loved and handsome wild flower the Rosebay Willowherb has delicate flowers and stamens on tall stems with striking seed pods, above soft willowy leaves.
Henny Donovan has lovingly recreated this flower as a delicate and intricately drawn stencil to add to the Motif range of modern botanical designs. This design brings an up-to-date style for simple, modern 'cottage' style decorating - suitable for both country and town interiors, where a light airy, clean design is called for.
The Large Rosebay Willowherb Stencil comes in two sections - two different flower stalks (see illustrations right). It can be used as a single motif design for features, panels and pictures, or repeated in a random pattern over walls and fabrics (see below right) or in rows to form a tall, striking border as a deep edging to full curtain drops and fabric panels (see bottom right).
This design works well stencilled lightly on off-white walls or fabric in the natural colours of the flower, which range from rosy-pink to purple and soft spring greens. Or it works well in muted single colour pallettes such as green or grey.

Made to order stencil. Two layer stencil in two sections - 4 large sheets in total. Section 1 (pictured right) measures up to approximately 66cm (26") high by 30cm (12") wide at widest points. Section 2 (pictured bottom right) measures up to approximately 55cm (21 1/2") high by 25cm (10") wide at widest points.
